Stay at Work & Preferred Worker Program (Workshop) – Silverdale

  •  August 23, 2018
     10:00 am - 11:30 am

Returning to work speeds an injured worker’s recovery and reduces the financial impact of a workers’ compensation claim on the worker, the employer, and the workers’ compensation system. Employers can help an injured worker get back to work quickly, safely and, if necessary, with assistance. This can be done by giving workers shorter hours, transitional work, a modified job with adjustments to the work site, changing the job to meet the worker’s limitations or providing tools, equipment, or appliances that allow employees to work within their limitations.

L&I offers return-to-work incentives to help employers keep injured workers on the job or bring them quickly and safely back to work. In this workshop, you will learn about:

  • Best practices to facilitate early return to work.
  • How to recognize and implement modified job opportunities for injured employees.
  • The two programs that offer incentives – Preferred Worker and Stay at Work.
  • How to apply for financial incentives.
